楽曲解説


Aliveは Adele と共に制作されており、元は Adele のアルバムに収録される予定でした。Sia によれば、歌詞の大半も Adele について書かれたもので、Adele の視点から表現されたものであるようです。

歌詞にある"I'm still breathing"は、"Rolling in the Deep"や"Someone Like You"で歌われた別れを乗り越え、結婚、出産と、新たな人生を歩んでいる彼女（Adele）の心の叫びでもあるように聴こえます。

結果的にAdele のアルバム収録は見送られてしまいましたが、その後 Sia のアルバム"This is Acting"に収録されることとなりました。


しかしながら、Adele のために書かれたものであったとしても、 Sia にもふさわしい楽曲であるように思います。
