2002年グラミー賞

2002年グラミー賞最優秀レコード受賞曲は、U2『Walk On』でした。昨年の『Beautiful Day』に続き、U2が2年連続の受賞です。



この曲は去年の受賞曲『Beautiful Day』と同様『All That You Can't Leave Behind』の収録曲で、同じアルバムから連続でのグラミー賞受賞は初めてなんだそうです。

ミャンマーの平和運動の指導者であるアウンサンスーチーさんについてを歌ったもので、歌詞も彼女の活動に捧げるアンセムとして書かれています。

歌詞の中に『all that you can't leave behind』という言葉も出てくるので、実質アルバムのタイトルソングとも言えるのではないでしょうか。
